Airport Link Northern Busway upgrade is the latest construction project to eliminate employee & contractor cigarette butt litter with No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays.Airport Link Northern Busway project in Brisbane is distributing logo printed Personal Ashtrays from No BuTTs to their employees and contractors to eliminate cigarette butt litter during construction.

Jacinta Fuller, Thiess Environmental Coordinator for the Airport Link Roundabout Upgrade confirmed their order for 500 logo printed Personal Ashtrays for distribution
to project staff.

"We've heard really good things about No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays. Many of our employees and contractors smoke and as an environmentally responsible organisation, Thiess John Holland is committed to reducing if not eliminating cigarette butt litter created by staff at our projects."

"That's good for the environment and also our corporate profile. The last thing we want is for our people to litter their butts, and it's even worse when it's done in full view of the public."

The only butts to be seen at the Airport Link Northern Busway upgrade project.
"No BuTTs receives calls and emails every day from all over the world from Environmental Officers looking for a solution to the affiliated cigarette butt litter created by staff, employees and contractors." said No BuTTs Managing Director, Jack Jacobson.

"It's not just the damage caused to the environment, both from the toxins slowly released for decades by littered butts, and the associated risk of fires started from those discarded butts, it's also the serious damage done to the public image and corporate profiles of organisations when their people litter their butts. People do notice."

The No BuTTs message is being increasingly seen and heard around the world."No BuTTs also receives over 100 complaints a day in Australia alone made by concerned citizens outraged by acts of cigarette butt littering and wanting to make a citizens littering report about the offenders to the relevant authorities."

"That's pretty easy when the litterer is wearing a uniform, hardhat or corporate work gear or tossing the butt out of a corporate vehicle - all of which are usually emblazoned with the relevant organisations name and logo."

"All complaints are automatically rerouted the relevant State Authorities via the Dob in a Tosser Litter Report section on nobutts.com.au.

Brisbane AirportLink Project's Personal Ashtrays
"The actual offending individual may for all intents and purposes be anonymous, but the company isn't and it's their public image that suffers - and that's why over 2,000 responsible businesses and organisations across Australia now provide No BuTTs Personal Ashtrays to their people so that there is never any excuse for littering cigarette butts."

"Jacinta from Thiess is absolutely correct. Personal Ashtrays not only protect the environment, just as importantly they also protect the public image of the organisation whose smokers are potentially going to litter their butts if they don't have a Personal Ashtray on them.  Most smokers actually like to do the right thing with their butts, when they can. No Butts Personal Ashtrays ensure that they 'can' whenever and wherever they smoke."

"Logo printing their Personal Ashtrays with their name, company logo, web-site and an anti littering or anti-smoking slogan turns this effective environmental initiative into sensational eco-friendly advertising, with the message being reinforced in the mind of the smoker every time it's used."

Great idea from No Butts! Every company that has people out in the field should be using these personal ashtrays. One of our blokes got one of the same ashtrays from the Toowoomba Pipeline Alliance when he was working there and as soon as we saw it I ordered 500 with our logo on them for our staff. They are such a popular product that we have received requests from many of our people for extras to give to their mates and family - which we are happy to do. The more people that see our Personal Ashtrays the better! Cheers.

My husband and I originally discovered the No Butts personal ashtrays when he worked for Rio Tinto and neither of us have littered any cigarette butt since. Not one! When we started our own company the first thing we did was order logo printed personal ashtrays for our staff. We originally did it to protect our public image (and the environment!) but what we have discovered is that they actually enhance our image and display our high standards to all that see them. Keep up the great work!

They gave us all the same personal ashtrays when I was at Queensland Gas Company and we all thought they were great and as a smoker they really did make my life easier when it came to getting rid of my butts the right way. When I moved to another company and showed the OHS guy there the personal ashtrays and suggested that AKG also get on board I was amazed that his only response was that people shouldn't smoke. Well DUH... we all know that but we do smoke. Thankfully he was overuled by our environmental manager who said that the last thing we needed was for our people to be littering their butts.

Joe above is spot on! We had the same Ostrich attitude at the last company I was at but that all changed when a grass fire was started at one of our sites when someone chucked their butt away. One week later it was personal ashtrays for everyone and they even printed the slogan 'Protect our environment - Better still quit smoking' on them. Cheers!
