Aqueus Aquarium goes Butt Litter FreeAqueus, one of Australia's most respected Aquariums and located in St Kilda, Melbourne is installing an Eco-Pole Wall/Post Ashtray for customer use, near the entrance to their premises.

Well known amongst Melbourne's tank fish enthusiasts and previously known as St Kilda Aquarium, Aqueus is taking the fun of aquariums to a new level of products, professional advise and most of all, enthusiastic friendly service - and that includes providing an ashtray for their customers as they arrive.

A common problem outside businesses
"As soon as we took over, and apart from all the other important issues that any new management needs to deal with, we noticed that we had a butt litter problem in the corner outside the entrance to our shop. We're not talking about hundreds or even dozens of butts, but from our perspective, even one of our customers butts outside our shop is a problem." said Doug White, Owner of Aqueus.

"If we don't pick it up, that butt is going to end up in the stormwater drain and as we're located around 500 metres from the beach, it's obvious where that butt, and any others are going to end up.  Besides, my staff and I have much better things to do than to have to pick up littered butts one by one."

"Also, butt litter looks grotty and horrible - and degrades the appearance of where ever it's seen so it would be totally stupid to ignore the problem at our new location."

"It's also a courtesy to our customers to provide an ashtray or cigarette receptacle for them to butt out in before they walk into our shop and we know they appreciate it, because they tell us that they do.."

One of dozens of aquariums at Aqueus"Aqueus Aquarium's slogan is 'Life under water' and we love fish. It's for this reason that we are also committed to doing what we can to help our environment, and in our case that means protecting Port Phillp Bay and all the critters that live in it."

"We're absolutely delighted that Aqueus Aquarium contacted No BuTTs to order an Eco-Pole Ashtray as part of their overall business upgrade." sad Jack Jacobson, No BuTTs Managing Director. "As it turns out, there are quite a few No BuTTs staff that have fish tanks, including myself, and we've all been regular customers of St Kilda Aquarum for years."

"We all knew that St Kilda Aquarium had recently been purchased by new owners, who are in the process of upgrading the building so when Doug contacted us for a solution to his customer butt litter problem, within a few seconds we each realised who the other was."

Eco-Pole WET System Wall & Post Ashtray - optional Liquid Charged for instant butt extinguishing!
"Apart from the environmental consequences of his customers butt litter ending up in the bay - which is exactly where 95% of all cigarette butts littered in Melbourne end up - Doug was also concerned about the obvious issue of cigarette butt litter degrading the outside of his business, and so he should be."

"Most companies care very much about the appearance of their premises, so it amazes me that some seem to ignore the issue of their smokers butt litter scattered around the outside of their properties, or even worse, their neighbours.  Either they just don't know, or else they just don't care - but either option is bad for their business."

For only around $300, responsible business Management can easily eliminate their location's cigarette butt litter with an Eco-Pole Wall or Post Ashtray and Cigarette Receptacle.

That's good for all and great for the environment.

No BuTTs about it.
