Circus Oz, one of Australia's iconic home grown entertainment organisations is going Butt Litter Free with No BuTTs Eco-Pole Portable Freestanding Bollard Ashtrays.
Circus Oz was founded in late 1977 as an amalgamation of two already successful Australian groups, Soapbox Circus and the New Circus. The principles that were the heart of the original Circus Oz philosophy are still reflected in their performances today.
"It's very important for us that we assist our patrons to be able to do the right thing with their butts, wherever we are." said Cas Hedge, Production Assistant for Circus Oz.
"We have thousands of people attending each one of our shows and it would be absolutely irresponsible not to provide ashtrays for our smoking patrons. We've previously used trays and other receptacles but they tend to cause more problems than they solve, and for obvious reasons, we certainly don't want our patrons dropping their butts into our rubbish bins."
"No BuTTs Eco-Pole Portable Bollard Ashtrays are the perfect solution because they look great, they can be safely used wherever and whenever we need them, they are trash and litter proof, and our staff can empty them in around five seconds each!"
"No BuTTs Eco-Pole Portable Bollard Ashtrays are a sensational product."
"There are two options for events and functions when it comes to dealing with their own patrons, customers or attendees cigarette butt litter. Do nothing about it - or do something about it." said No BuTTs Managing Director, Jack Jacobson.
"These days, the first option is simply no longer an option. Butt litter is extremely toxic to the environment, and it's also just as toxic to the public profile and image of those organisations that refuse to take responsibility for their own smokers butt litter, because people do notice."
"Additionally, organisations that don't take steps to provide adequate butt disposal are increasingly being prosecuted by Local and State enviromental authorities, and massive fines can and do apply - as they should."
"The vast majority of festivals & events use contract cleaners at their venues and locations, but the fact is that is simply impossible for those cleaners to pickup every single littered butt at those locations."
"Even worse is that many of those butts quickly end up in our waterways via wind, rain and storm-water drains, and by then it's too late. Whether they're scattered around the countryside, or have found their way in to our waterways, cigarette butts are toxic to the environment and take between 4 and 15 years to breakdown." said Jack.
"Littered cigarette butts also present a serious fire risk."
"There is simply no excuse for any organisation to ignore the issue of their own smokers cigarette butt litter - and that's because as No BuTTs corporate motto states, 'The world is not an ashtray.'"
"The good news is that No BuTTs Eco-Pole Freestanding Bollard Ashtrays in portable mode are an ingeniously simple, effective and economical solution to affiliated butt littering at events, functions and product launches - and that's why they're increasingly being used by socially and environmentally responsible organisations at more locations around the world every week."
"No BuTTs has recently released our "Hire an Eco-Pole Portable Freestanding Bollard Ashtray" service and this has made doing the right thing at functions, events, festivals, weddings, etc even more accessible for responsible organisations, event managers and private functions."
